THE
FOUNDRY AT PURITAN MILL
The Puritans Could Never Comprehend Luxury Like This
The Foundry at Puritan Mill is located in the King Plow Historic District
and offers a classic, distinctive bricks and beam loft-style event space.
Here, between 1917 and 1940, Puritan Soap Company built their empire.
In Atlanta this type of historic complex, although once common, is increasingly
rare due to demolition for new development. The complex is significant
as a remnant of a nearly defunct industrial and distribution corridor
along the backbone of commerce in Atlanta, located right by the Western
and Atlantic railroad hub.
A blend of historical elements—soft natural light from the numerous
north-facing windows, high wooden ceilings, exposed bricks, painted façade
signs, wood and concrete floors are features that add immense charm to
this 12,000 square foot event space. It features a gallery, corridors,
lawn, and kitchen.
The Foundry Complex at Puritan Mill is located minutes from Downtown,
Midtown, and Georgia Tech and has been totally renovated as a state-of-the-art
urban park with lofts, office space, and event space, including all the
technological infrastructure and perks desired today, giving the visitor
a chance to rub shoulders with old buildings while engaging in a high
technology culture.
